Today we we were at the BFI (British Film Institute) and the day was full of activity, including a huge pizza lunch – again. As the day was full of action I’m going to blog this is two parts. Five.1 and Five.2.  You know just to break it up a little.

The first half of the session we watch an inspiring French film (English subtititles) called La Haine. A film that we had watched briefly in the fist session of the project. The title being quite powerful itself translating into ‘Hate’ proved its greatness. Why I say it was inspiring? Our film is based on escaping from the hood and this film directed by Mathieu Kassovitz had the same theme running through it.

Here are some photo’s from the first session:

Today I started the ‘Escape From The Hood’ film making project with Chocolate Films. I wasn’t sure what to think initially but the day went pretty well. I met some new people, though the other participants were younger than me it was quite fun. Over the day we talked about our favorite films – mine being Fernando Meirelles City Of God; what experience we’ve already had, basics of the cameras we’ll be using, and what we’ll be doing over the next spread 10 days. We also got FREE pizza for lunch!

Me !! I Look trash here though.

Here I am as director, guiding one of the actors (across the small road)

Looking forward to start filming and editing!!
